SANTE HAITI — Privacy Policy
Version: 2026-08-22 · Last updated: August 22, 2026
1. Who we are
SANTE HAITI (“we,” “us,” “the platform”) provides home healthcare coordination — nursing visits, home health aides, and related services — for patients located in Haiti, including patients whose care is arranged and paid for by family members living abroad. This policy covers Sante Haiti LLC, operating as SANTE HAITI.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone, password (hashed), preferred language.
- Patient information: name, date of birth, address in Haiti, emergency contacts, medical history relevant to care planning, current conditions, medications, mobility/care needs, vital signs recorded during visits, care notes written by nurses and caregivers.
- Family/payer information: name, relationship to patient, contact details, country of residence, billing information.
- Payment information: transactions processed through MonCash (Digicel), NatCash (Natcom), and/or card processors. We do not store full payment credentials — those are handled by the payment provider; we store transaction references, amounts, and status.
- Usage information: device/browser type, IP address, pages visited, language preference, timestamps.
3. Who can submit information, and on whose behalf
Many of our patients do not create their own account — a family member, often living outside Haiti, registers the patient and requests care for them. When you submit patient information as someone other than the patient:
- You must have the patient’s permission to share their information with us, or lawful authority to act on their behalf (e.g., you are their caregiver, power of attorney, or closest available family decision-maker).
- You must inform the patient that SANTE HAITI holds their information.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit.
We record your confirmation of the above — including the exact statement you agreed to, the Privacy Policy version in effect, and the date/time — on the care request itself, so there is a clear record of consent tied to that specific submission.
4. How we use information
- To coordinate and deliver home healthcare visits and services.
- To match patients with appropriate nurses/caregivers.
- To process payments for services rendered.
- To communicate with patients and family members about care, scheduling, and billing.
- To maintain required care records and audit trails.
- To improve the safety and quality of the platform.
We do not sell patient information. We do not use medical information for advertising.
5. Who we share information with
- Nurses and caregivers assigned to a patient’s care, limited to what they need to deliver that care.
- Administrators and super administrators of SANTE HAITI, for operational and safety oversight.
- Payment processors (Digicel MonCash, Natcom NatCash, and/or card processors) to complete transactions you authorize.
- Service providers who host or secure our systems, under contracts that limit their use of the data to providing that service.
- Government or legal authorities, only where required by law, or to protect the safety of a patient in an emergency.
We do not share medical information with employers, insurers, or advertisers.
6. How we protect information
- Access to patient records is role-based: nurses and caregivers can see only their assigned patients; family members can see only the patients linked to their account; administrators’ access is logged.
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- We maintain audit logs of who accessed or changed patient records.
7. How long we keep information
We retain patient care records for as long as the patient’s account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required by applicable recordkeeping requirements. You can request deletion of an account that is not subject to a retention requirement (see Section 9).
8. Your choices and rights
You may request a copy of the information we hold about a patient you are authorized to act for, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an account, by contacting support@santehaiti.com. If you are a family member submitting on behalf of a patient, the patient (or their authorized representative) may also exercise these rights directly.
9. Children
Our services are designed for adult patients, including elderly and senior patients. If a patient is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account and provide all consents on the minor’s behalf.
10. Emergencies
SANTE HAITI is not an emergency medical service. In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services directly.
11. Changes to this policy
When we materially change this policy, we will update the version number and date above, and — for material changes affecting how patient information is used — ask users to re-confirm consent the next time they submit a care request.
